  • What age can my child start martial arts?

Children can begin martial arts as early as age 4 in our Lil’ Lions program, designed specifically for young students.

These classes focus on listening skills, coordination, respect, and confidence through fun, structured activities that keep kids engaged while building strong fundamentals.

  • What if my child is shy or lacks confidence?

Shy students are often some of our biggest success stories.

Martial arts helps children grow confidence step by step. As they learn new skills, earn belts, and overcome challenges, they begin to believe in themselves. Over time, parents often notice their child speaking up more, standing taller, and feeling proud of their accomplishments.

  • Can martial arts help with bullying?

Yes. Martial arts helps children develop the confidence, awareness, and self-control that discourages bullying in the first place.

Students learn how to carry themselves with confidence, set verbal boundaries, and avoid conflict when possible. They also learn practical self-defense skills in a controlled and respectful environment.

  • Does my child need to be athletic?

    Not at all.

Martial arts is designed to build athletic ability over time. Many students begin with little coordination or confidence in sports. With consistent practice, they develop balance, strength, flexibility, and focus.

Every student progresses at their own pace.

  • How often should my child attend class?

Most students attend 2–3 classes per week.

This schedule helps students build consistency and progress steadily through the curriculum while still balancing school and family activities.

  • How long does it take to see results?

Many parents notice improvements in focus, confidence, and listening skills within the first month.

As students continue training, they develop stronger discipline, better coordination, and a growing sense of personal responsibility.

  • Do beginners need experience to start?

    No experience is necessary.

Most of our students start as complete beginners. Our classes follow a step-by-step curriculum, allowing students to learn safely and progress at a comfortable pace.

  • What should we wear to the first class?

Comfortable workout clothes are perfect for your first class.

If your child decides to continue training, we’ll help you get set up with the proper martial arts uniform.

  • Do we need equipment to begin?

No special equipment is required to start.

New students can try their first classes before purchasing any gear. Once enrolled, students will receive guidance on uniforms and training equipment as they progress.

  • Can adults start martial arts with no experience?

    Absolutely.

Many of our adult students start with no prior martial arts background. Classes are structured so beginners can learn safely while improving fitness, coordination, and self-defense skills.

  • Can martial arts help adults get in shape?

    Yes.

Martial arts training combines cardio conditioning, strength training, mobility work, and skill practice. It’s a great way to improve fitness while learning practical self-defense in an engaging environment.

  • Who teaches the classes?

Classes at Peace Keeper Martial Arts are led by experienced black belt instructors dedicated to helping students grow in confidence, discipline, and skill.

Our teaching team focuses on creating a positive environment where students of all ages can learn, improve, and reach their goals.

  • Where is Peace Keeper Martial Arts located?
